Built for Dynamics 365 Business Central testing

Test Business Central,
grounded in the real app.

testologics generates test plans for your actual Business Central processes — for UAT, regression, new extension installs, upgrades and environment or company changes — gives your team a workspace to test side-by-side, captures the evidence, and writes it up with AI, tracking every result through to sign-off. Push to Azure DevOps too, if you want it.

Every generated step cites a real Business Central page, field and shortcut — no generic boilerplate.

Purpose-built for Business Central implementation & consulting teams

UAT & regression Extension & AppSource installs Upgrades & environment changes Azure DevOps
How it works

From a list of modules to a signed-off test cycle.

Whether it's UAT, a regression pass, a new extension install, an upgrade or an environment change, testologics handles the three stages that usually eat your project timeline — writing the tests, running them against the real app, and reporting the results — all in one workspace.

Step 1 · Plan

Generate grounded test plans

Pick the Business Central modules in scope. The AI proposes real business processes and writes step-by-step UAT scripts that cite actual pages, fields and keyboard shortcuts — not generic placeholders.

See test planning
Step 2 · Test

Test side-by-side, capture evidence

Dock the QA Testing workspace beside Business Central in focus mode. Record pass / fail / blocked per step, capture screenshots by paste, file or screen-grab, and dictate notes hands-free.

See QA workspace
Step 3 · Report

AI write-ups and sign-off tracking

AI vision turns your screenshots into a clean result write-up — detailed, summary, or issue-focused. Track every result to sign-off in one place, with an optional push to Azure DevOps when your team wants it.

AI test plans

Test scripts that know the difference between a Sales Quote and a Sales Order.

Most AI test generators hallucinate steps. testologics validates every plan against the real Business Central application, so each step references pages and fields that genuinely exist — never invented ones.

  • Module-driven wizard. Choose modules, set processes-per-module, add focus instructions and edge cases — the AI proposes real processes you can bulk accept or reject.
  • Cited steps. Each step carries Business Central references — page numbers, field names with tooltips, and shortcuts like F9 and Ctrl+F9.
  • Seed from a work item. Pull an Azure DevOps story or acceptance criteria into the prompt so the plan reflects what the customer actually signed off on.
  • Review lifecycle. Plans flow draft → review → approved → active, so nothing reaches a tester before a manager has signed off.

QA testing workspace

A tester's cockpit that docks right next to Business Central.

A full-page, three-pane workspace built for the person actually clicking through UAT — assignments on the left, grounded steps in the middle, evidence on the right.

  • Focus mode. Hides the app navigation so the workspace sits cleanly beside a Business Central window — no constant tab-switching.
  • Evidence on the spot. Drag-drop, paste from clipboard, pick a file, or grab a screen capture — all into a screenshot gallery with a lightbox viewer.
  • Voice dictation. Push-to-talk speech-to-text for tester notes, so observations get recorded without breaking flow.
  • Pass / fail / blocked. Record outcomes per step with actual results and notes, scoped to a specific test run.

Why Business Central

UAT tooling that actually speaks Business Central.

Generic test management doesn't know your modules, your pages, or your vocabulary. testologics is built around Business Central from the ground up.

Module-organised everything

Processes, coverage and pass-rates roll up by Business Central module — Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse and more — with human-readable IDs like SALE-001.

@Testo, a Business Central-aware assistant

Ask the in-app AI about coverage, finance-module flows, or a purchase-order-to-receipt-to-invoice sequence. Answers draw from your process library and your Business Central context.

Turn how-to guides into tests

Bring an existing process recording or step-by-step how-to guide — including ones captured with our sister app Worksnip — and the AI turns it into a structured business process with steps. Tribal knowledge becomes a repeatable test.

The evidence pipeline

From a tester's screenshot to a closed work item.

The hand-off that usually means copy-pasting screenshots into tickets at 6pm — automated end to end, with an optional push straight into Azure DevOps.

Capture

Evidence

Testers attach screenshots by paste, file pick, or screen capture, scoped to the assignment.

Summarise

AI write-up

AI vision reads the screenshots and drafts a result narrative — detailed, summary, or issue-focused.

Verify

Review & record

The tester confirms pass / fail / blocked with the AI summary attached to the result.

Push · optional

Azure DevOps

If you use it, screenshots upload as work-item attachments and the write-up posts as a comment, linked to the result.

Team workspace

Built for a UAT team, not a spreadsheet.

Assign, discuss, and track sign-off across testers — with the roles and notifications a real engagement needs.

Assignments & due dates

Assign business processes to individual testers or whole teams with due dates. Bulk-assign across people, and watch overdue and due-soon lists update.

Process Board & threads

A unified discussion feed with @mentions, resolvable threads, and stat tiles for Open, Mentions You, AI, and Resolved — so questions don't get lost in chat.

Inbox & activity

One Inbox for assignments, results to record, and mentions — plus an organisation-wide activity feed of who assigned, executed, and shared what.

Roles & permissions

Owner, Admin, Test Manager, Tester and Viewer roles. Managers assign and see team performance; testers execute; viewers read. Enforced on the server, not just the UI.

Share links

Share a business process via a guest or org-scoped link — optionally letting reviewers comment or use the AI assistant in read context, with expiry and revocation.

Multi-workspace for consultants

Run many client engagements from one account. Consulting staff switch workspaces from the user menu; each org's data stays cleanly isolated.

Talk to us

Feature access is enforced per plan, server-side. Each subscription covers one workspace (one Business Central implementation); workspaces and their history are retained under your licence and can't be deleted and re-created to reset limits. Every workspace gets the same isolation and security regardless of tier.

FAQ

The questions Business Central teams ask first.

How are the test steps "grounded" in Business Central?

testologics validates every generated plan against the real Business Central application — its pages, tables, fields and actions. Each step cites an actual page number, field name and keyboard shortcut, rather than inventing a generic flow you can't actually follow in the product.

Does it run tests automatically in Business Central?

testologics is a UAT workspace for human testers, not an automated test runner. It generates the scripts, gives testers a focus-mode workspace to drive Business Central side-by-side, captures their evidence, and reports the results. People still do the acceptance testing — testologics removes the busywork around it.

Do I have to use Azure DevOps?

No — the Azure DevOps integration is entirely optional. testologics hosts the full UAT cycle on its own: generate plans, manage execution, capture evidence and track progress to sign-off. If you do prefer to keep work items in Azure DevOps, you can pull a story's acceptance criteria into a plan, and push results back as work-item attachments and comments. Your DevOps access token is stored encrypted and never returned to the browser.

What is @Testo?

@Testo is the in-app AI assistant, grounded in your business-process library and your Business Central context. Ask it for a coverage summary, the steps in a purchase-order-to-invoice flow, or edge cases worth testing — answers are sourced from real Business Central context, not the open internet.

Can a consultancy manage several clients from one account?

Yes. testologics is multi-workspace: each client engagement is an isolated organisation, and consulting staff switch between them from the user menu. Every tenant-scoped record is keyed to its organisation, so client data never crosses over.
